We produce this wine in the traditional port-style method, fortifying the fermenting must to stop the fermentation and retain natural sugars. The variety is Noiret, a locally adapted variety that grows beautifully in the FLX.  With its high degree of disease resistance, it is an extraordinarily sustainable grape. Aged in oak barrels for 6 months to produce notes of intense berries, sweet chocolate with spiciness.
